Marjan Angoshtari joined the Experience Labs team as an Innovation Designer in January 2015. Prior to this, Marjan was a Visiting Lecturer with Postgraduate students of Industrial Design in her hometown Tehran and also worked as an Industrial Design Engineer with the New Products Development Team in the R&D department of a global medical technology company in the UK. She has worked on various projects with global companies in England, Wales and Japan; including ArjoHuntleigh, Brother Industries Ltd, Vodafone, Airbus, Guzzini and Unilever. She has specialised in Innovation Design Engineering and has a strong background in Industrial Design. Her key areas of expertise and interest lie in People-Centred Innovation and New Products Development.
Marjan’s passion for user-centred design emerged while working on various challenging projects with different user groups in London. These insights led her to a successful project that gained a number of achievements including a Commendation for the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design Awards and the James Dyson Foundation Bursary. She was selected as the Ideator / Design Fellow and Project Lead for the project to go through the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Design (IE&D) Programme at Imperial College Business School. The project was then selected for the Mayor of London Event 2012 Business Programme, it was selected for the Entrepreneurs’ Launchpad Programme at the InnovationRCA and was also featured in Made Magazine, the Magazine for the Design Exchange.
